  1. A story of courage and triumph Review by Tump

And we think our lives are complicated because our cell phones drop a call... The women in this video show the strength and determination that should be a lesson to us all.

While it is easy to celebrate those who have made the "walk", there are many more who need to but can't. Those are the ones that need our help. Buy the video, watch it, pass it along to your family and friends, and contribute to the fistulafoundation.org. (Posted on 8/19/10)

  2. Outstanding Review by Murray

Working in International Development in Africa, I am acutely aware of the issue of Obstetric Fistula. I would love to write a long review however, I will simply say this is a must watch documentary. It is the best documentary I have ever seen...and I have seen a few in my lifetime. A hard topic? Yes, but there are some hard issues in the world we need to consider deeper - and it is only when we confront them can change be made. The best aspect of this documentary is that the stories are edited in such a way that the actual people narrate the documentary themselves. Hence, unlike most documentaries which are typically narrated and edited to suits an ideology or agenda, this documentary has real heart, and surprising humour...and a genuinely nice ending. You will not forget this documentary. (Posted on 8/18/10)

  3. Simply Beautiful! Review by Von T.

Educational, heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time. A brilliant film! I've been inspired to donate to the Foundation to assist in its continued efforts to educate the public. (Posted on 6/9/10)

  4. As inspiring as Rocky I Review by Mark

As inspiring as Rocky I. Amazing to see the inner champions of these women. Also available on Netflix if you do not want to purchase. Just see it either way.

I can't help but think that if this were a male sickness, the African nations would fund its repair. I also can't help but think that these African nations should stop using all the western aid for weapons and embezzling it to Switzerland for their personal use. Maybe Western nations should stop giving if there is no accountability. (Posted on 2/19/10)

  5. moving film, must watch for all those who crib about own worries sitting in AC rooms. Review by sushama

A moving tale of suffering and selfless saviours.well presented -as issue based film and cinematically well made fill.I wondered what is the situation in my country India? I am in touch with NGOs working with women and I did not know much about this issue.Fistula is realy a 'silent' epidemic.not much is said about it. I saw it on Netflix on one of my visits to USA.I should have bought this film.but I made notes and I am writing about it in my language Marathi.I am going to add another film touching the same issue ' motherland Afganistan' to the piece.
Such films are eye openers for people who keep cribbing about there small worries, sitting under whatever roofs they have or in their cusshy rooms.Ethiopean women and the care givers at Fistula hospital are really brave.I will try to get the copy of this film.and show it to social workers in my city of Pune,India. 6. Bring kleenex Review by Rob

These poor young women rip your heart out and give you back a better one. (Posted on 11/3/09)

  7. Powerful stuff Review by Mary Little

I had heard about "A Walk to Beautiful" from a friend of mine who knows one of the filmmakers. I purchased a copy for myself to see what it was all about and wow - what a powerful story.

Very emotional thinking about some of these poor women in the 21st century being outcast and suffering like this. Makes me want to get involved and help out in some way. I hope by purchasing the DVD, somehow I helped a little

If you are on the fence about purchasing this film - fear not, take the plunge and get one for yourself. Get your friends together, watch it together and then learn how you too can help.
