Cottrell, the son of one of the first New Orleans Jazz artists, is joined here by the famed Paul Barbarin and Kid Howard, and this album also contains the first recorded performance of Let’s Take a Ferryboat to New Orleans by Lester Santiago who is the pianist for the band.
